I’m going to mention the “Welcome To the Family” gift and some other ways to include her. You’re right, the holidays are stressful, and my dad says she has two young boys.

While I’m still not quite sure what the heck is going on and the age difference is weird, I like your suggestions. In the end, I don’t want to do anything regrettable, that’s not what this trip is about. My dad is getting older. It’s going to be weird, I know this much.
